Eunice and Kate are best friends, but can their friendship weather a storm?

Eunice and Kate live in side-by-side apartments in the heart of the city. Both their mamas work hard, and even though money is tight, the girls have big plans for the future. Kate dreams of becoming an astronaut, and Eunice dreams of being a ballet dancer. When they draw portraits of each other in art class, each girl draws the other with their own aspirations in mind. They both get more than a little annoyed when they realize that their friend doesn’t really understand them. With a little help, the girls come to learn the value of respecting and embracing each other’s unique dreams.

A heartfelt book about two girls from single-parent homes who learn how honoring differences can strengthen the bonds of friendship.
