Hi, we are Ambika and Suhani.
We are children's books publishers at Sambasivan & Parikh.
Growing up, we learned that we could become writers and illustrators' and that is how we began our publishing journey. Over time, we learned about publishing and started our own publishing companies.
When our kids were in 3rd grade, we realized that kids were still learning about writing and illustrating, but the world has changed!
Technology has made publishing more accessible than ever before and it's time kids learn how books are actually made from start to finish.
What do our publisher visits look like?
We show students what publishers do and who is involved in the book-making process.
We take kids through how a picture book is made from start to finish.
We give students the opportunity to ask questions.
We bring real-life examples for students to interact with.
We demonstrate how kids can become their own publishers through a fun activity.

Ambika and Suhani presented to our third graders all about ‘Making a Book From Start to Finish.’ Their presentation was fantastic! It was kid-friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. Students were inspired by the process and left the presentation having a clear understanding of how a book is published. The presenters also brought along their own company’s published books in addition to a visual presentation and video. I would recommend this experience to all school buildings!

Ambika and Suhani’s presentation was enjoyable for the students and teachers alike! It was interesting to learn about the many different steps it takes to create a book from start to finish, and the information was presented in an engaging way, including a video and an opportunity to look through several of the company’s finished books. Ambika and Suhani presented on the publishing process for books, utilizing their experiences in the publishing industry. It was a great opportunity for the students to understand the steps involved in taking a book from an idea to something you can hold in your hand! The students enjoyed the presentation.
