Community Partner Program

We are incredibly grateful for the support Sambasivan & Parikh (Yali Books, Modern Marigold Books & First Person Press) has received over the years from our book allies and advocates.

Our Community Partner Program is our way of saying thank you. We welcome you to learn more about opportunities to gain access to free review copies and help develop book lists (paid).

Order free review copies directly from our website

Community Partners are able to choose from and request Advance Review Copies (ARCs) of forthcoming book titles and (occasionally) backlist gems directly via our website. We cover shipping.

This free program is designed for:

  • Librarians
  • Educators & Curriculum Coordinators
  • Book reviewers

based in the US, the UK, Canada, and Australia.*

*For reviewers outside of these regions, our books are available digitally on Edelweiss and NetGalley (pre-release).

Current collection of review copies available to our Community Partners.

Here's how you can join the program

  1. Complete this request form.
  2. Once added to the program, you'll receive a confirmation email with information on how to order.
  3. You will receive emails from us to notify you when new titles become available.  You're also welcome to follow along on social media or periodically check our website to learn when new titles are available.
  4. Each title listing will note the quantity available. To order, you will need to sign into your account using the email you provided to us.
  5. ARCs are shipped out to you when available.

What we ask for in return

  • Enjoy the book and share with your community!
  • Nominate books you love for state, library, and bookseller lists.
  • Leave a review for the book directly on our website on the book page.
  • Review the book wherever you leave review (Goodreads, StoryGraph, LibraryThing, and beyond!)
  • if you are active on social media, tag us on a review.

Help other librarians discover great books!

We are now offering a paid opportunity for librarians to help us build our Librarians Celebrate book lists. Here is an example of a blog post of this series.

If any of our titles tie into a theme or celebration close to your heart, we would love for you to curate a list of books for us to share. We would love to highlight marginalized voices and independent presses in our book lists.

Please reach out to us via the form below. Use the comment box to tell us a bit about yourself and your curation/thematic interests.

I am interested in curating a Librarians Celebrate book list for your blog.
