Author of Dancing Devi, Priya Parikh is a children’s book author who writes stories inspired by her own life experiences. She believes that fostering creativity—especially in children—is vitally important to building an inclusive world.

Dancing Devi is Priya's debut book and is inspired by her years of training as a bharatanatyam dancer. She loves incorporating bharatanatyam hand gestures and footwork into her storytimes and teaching kids a small part of the elaborate dance form.
