  • If you could be a character in a children's book, who would you be?

Anne from 'Anne of Green Gables'. I admire how she finds joy in the world around her and shares that joy through her wonderful imagination.

  • Describe your creative space and routine.

    Writing Routine:

WHEN: Usually first thing in the morning.

HOW: I start by re-reading and editing what I wrote the previous day. This helps build the flow and gets more words onto the paper… er... laptop!

WHERE: My big but rather messy dining table that doubles as my writing desk.

WHAT: Mostly picture books, occasionally non-fiction, and wishfully, poetry.

  • What is your favorite creative fuel?

Ooh—I love this question! I take snacking very seriously, especially when I'm writing. Sometimes it's a fun way to take a break, and other times it's a tasty reward. My favorite creative fuel is cream cheese sandwiches and mint tea!
